Hoping you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did a mini STAYcation. We used free Legoland tickets on Friday and hit the Nixon Presidential Library on Saturday (where Chad and I had the funnest time photo-shooting ourselves in the reflective visor of real spacesuit worn by Neil Armstrong). But then on Sunday it all came to cash in because I woke up sick.
Don’t click away. I’m not giving away a spacesuit. Or a camera.
But I do think you’ll be interested in what I’m giving away today. So continuing in my My Favorite Things: Six Weeks of Free Stuff, I’m giving away a trio of my favorite writing items. Even if you aren’t a writer, I’m sure you’ll be happy.
$25 to Starbucks because that is where I get most of my writing done. I’m at my cozy little Starbucks twice a week when my three-year-old is in preschool.
$25 to iTunes because without my headphones connected to my computer listening to my writing playlist or something similar, I can’t get any work done with the milk steaming and people talking on their cell phones in the background. Music takes me to my happy place when I’m writing.
A mini Moleskine notebook. For the past few months I’ve kept one of these with me WHEREever I go. I put one in my purse and I leave it there. I write blog posts, shopping lists, and writing ideas in it. It’s perfect.
One of you will receive all of these in one tidy little package that is my pleasure to mail off at the end of the week. So, to enter, leave a comment in the comment field telling me your favorite trio of whatever. Three lipgloss colors. Three tea cups you love. Three places to vacation. Whatever you want. Three things that somehow go together.
Leave your comment (one comment only) before 9pm on Wednesday night and I’ll announce the winner on Thursday.
What’s your favorite trio?

Sarah,
I am also in the throes of writing a book (mine is on child behavior), so your trio made me smile. Truly, where would most writers be without caffeine, the right music, and the constant companionship of a notebook?….Yet, since I can’t steal your answer, I’ll give my second favorite trio right now: my passport, my plane ticket home, and the assurance of knowing that my husband and I will finally be returning to the U.S for good (we’ve been abroad for the past 3 years)

Karline – the sister just younger than me that I saw in October for her wedding.
Hannah – the youngest sister who I also saw at Karline’s wedding but don’t get to see too often because she is in the Air Force.
My three favorite things (I’ll explain how they go together)
1. My mom
2. Shopping
3. Dessert
My mom is my best friend in the whole world. I love when we shop together, even if it is just window shopping or picking up odds and ends at Target. She ALWAYS has the best dessert at her house, whether it be homemade or from her favorite bakery. She is never one to skip out on the sweets and I love that. I always think of her when I pass anywhere with dessert!

I enjoy reading your blog. It is uplifting to know that as we all walk with Jesus we struggle. It is amazing to me that He KNOWS and loves me anyway.
Thank you for your honesty.
Quick note… I too LOVE my mini-moleskin… I use it for lots of stuff and now write down everything my babbling 2-year old is saying to me, lest I forget someday.
My three things (with the exception, of course to my wonderful family and faith)
1.) Chocolate
2.) Strawberries
3.) Champagne
Can a girl really ask for anything more???
Merry Christmas, Sarah! I am grateful for you every day and am so glad to find comfort, conviction and companionship in your blog which always seems directed right at me.

Benjamin, Gracie and Jonathan. The best trio there ever was – my family. (Might sound corny, but it was the first thing to come to mind – and after thinking about it some more – still my favorite!)
Granted, I love me some music, Starbucks and “me” time, too.
A mug of hot tea, a good book, and music.
