I talk with my mom about this a lot; she struggles with depression and this is what I ask her to do with me - to pray that He changes our hearts instead of our circumstances. That, I believe, is truly the only reason I'm joyful. My situation will continue to get worse, but He creates joy in me. I’m sorry I missed this earlier… but you are speaking right to my heart with this post. As women, we tend to take on so many roles and we lose ourselves in the process. Sometimes the result is resentment, anger, rejection, and maybe even feeling that others are not worthy of forgiveness...yes these are some battles that I am currently struggling with in my own life. "Please God break me of this cycle and change MY heart to reflect YOUR loving kindness and forgiveness." Amen! Sarah – thank you for taking a risk yourself and setting this challenge before us.
